# @soundcn

An open-source registry of 700+ short UI sound effects (game sounds, interface clicks, notifications, transitions, retro bleeps) installable via the shadcn CLI. Each sound is a self-contained TypeScript module with an inline base64 data URI and a useSound hook backed by the Web Audio API — zero external files, no runtime fetching, no CORS issues. Also includes a World of Warcraft sound collection (non-commercial). Most sounds are CC0-licensed (Kenney). Use for: adding subtle audio feedback to interactive React elements (buttons, toasts, drag-and-drop) without any dependency on external audio-hosting services or heavy audio libraries.
